Meet the newest member of our family....

he joined our family on Saturday, a week earlier than I had planned but that is okay.

Kennedy wasn't so sure she was going to like him at first, but she quickly took a liking to him and hasn't slowed down her affections.

Please welcome, Mr. Bones...

We now say "Hi Mr. Bones" at least 30-40 times an hour, and "night night Mr. Bones" when it is time for bed.  He has already been the proud recipient of many a high-five, and has also received plenty of love from Kennedy in the form of Stickers.

I am not sure what will happen when it is time to say "bye bye Mr. Bones", we shall see when the times comes for that.  But for now we get to enjoy him for an entire month.

So, Welcome to the family Mr. Bones!

Holiday recap part 2... December

A lot happened in December.

Kennedy really started to get around by cruising on everything and anything.
She started talking a bit more, and expressed her love for her doggie all the time.

We had some guests over for a few events.

We made gingerbread men with some college friendss!

Celebrated Winter Solistice with Rachel and Aaron - sadly of which we have no pictures?  What a bummer!

Then we also celebrated my Birthday!  Yay for being born on Christmas Day :)

The crazy thing about it all is how much Kennedy has grown and changed from last year at this time.  What a difference a year makes!

Holiday Recap part 1 ... Thanksgiving

Well, I did it, I failed to post at all about the holidays. I created this blog so that I would have something to share with family, but I also created it as a way to eventually share with Kennedy someday what we did as she was growing up, and what do I go and do? Completely fail to post anything about her holidays.  So, here is the beginning of my end of the year recaps.  They'll be quick for the most part, and chalked full of pictures, but what else is new?

I'll start with Thanksgiving.

This year for Thanksgiving we went up to visit family in Cameron Park.  It was great to see everyone, and spend our holiday together.

The day after we headed up to Apple Hill for some hot cider.  We stopped for breakfast/lunch along the way.

That weekend when we got home it was time to get out the decorations and Kennedy so graciously helped in the decorating...

See, told you that was quick.  Now on to December and Christmas!

Time for the holidays, and that means cards!!

We took family pictures recently and I cannot wait to make them into our holiday cards! I also took Kennedy for her one-year pics and took a few holiday pics in that shoot as well.

We've done Christmas cards in the past from other vendors, even just buying simple ones at the store.  My favorites though were always the ones we did right after getting married and they were from Shutterfly.

So, this year I decided we were going to use our family/holiday pics for our christmas cards, and I wanted a new contemporary looking one where I could use multiple pictures.  This took me to venturing through the world of online photo sites to create our cards and of course I ended up back at Shutterfly, because all of their stuff is pretty good, and in the past I have been very impressed with their quality and selection!

I found these cute cards, and now have to choose just one.

There are just too many good ones, that I'll probably end up spending about an hour just trying to decide which ones to use.

I think I'll check out the calendars as well so that I can have different pics in my office each month.

Oh, and bloggers, get 50 free cards for sharing!
