Back to work time...

Well, it is March 1 (ok, I guess I am writing this on February 28) and time for me to officially go back to work full time.  Throughout the month of February I have been working part-time, taking on a few court appearances and taking on a new case for our firm.  However now I will be going into the office most days, working at home others. 

What is kind of crazy though is that Kennedy will be going to work with me!  I have the great fortune of working for a fabulous boss in a wonderful small firm, his wife also runs her firm out of our same office.  They both raised their children in the office, and family is important to them.  They told me from the beginning (when we found out I was expecting) that I could bring the little one with me to the office and that we'd make it work.  Well, we finally get to figure out how that will all work.  The few court appearances I had in February worked out fine.  Lisa (my boss's wife) happily offered to watch Kennedy, and things went great.  Jennifer, our paralegal, has even taken a great liking to Kennedy and enjoys walking with her around the office and talking to her. 

I have my second set of baby items (so it seems - two bouncers at least), and the pack'n'play will be moving to my office (and sometimes the conference room).  So, here goes nothing, I'll let you all know how it goes I am sure as I'll be blogging some more.

Lights, Sounds and....

TV?

Well, turns out our little Kennedy loves lights, colors and sounds, and she finds all of that on the TV.  I found this out one day when I put her down in her bouncer so that I could grab my cup of morning coffee.  I turned around to her enjoying the Today Show immensley.

              

This morning the fascination has turned into watching Sponge Bob, oh the joys of Saturday morning TV!

Not to make you all think that she only enjoys the TV, here is her enjoying her crib aquarium.

Kennedy's eyes are looking more and more brilliant blue every day.  She is lucky that she has a mom and dad with such purty blue eyes! (sorry have to give us credit somehow!)

A visit from friends...

Last week Vimala and Corbin came to visit us again.  I took these cute pics of Vim holding Kennedy and Corbin wanting in on the action.... could be a bit of foreshadowing of what is to come?

I love this face!! He is such a cutie with TONS of energy.  He is also helping me realize what I am going to need to be picking up once Kennedy is on the move.

Family portraits...well almost

We went to take family portraits this past weekend.  We figure she is only this little once in our lifetime and want to capture every moment that we can.  We have our own DSLR camera which we use to take pics, but I wanted some where one of us isn't always behind the camera. 

This whole post should be leading up to the pictures, right? Well, we don't get them until March 4, but I had Austin take a couple pics of Kennedy and I when we got home because I actually had my hair and makeup done, and she looked so cute in her dress!

When I was pregnant I came across this adorable hat on Etsy.  Well, Grandpa ordered it for Kennedy, and it hasn't fit her till now!!  We will definitely be doing some portraits with it soon.

When Austin and I decided to take our own maternity pics we had a lot of fun with it, went out to a pumpkin patch and to a winery (because nothing screams maternity pics like a winery!), and a few at home.  We went ahead and used Kennedy's newborn booties in a few of the pics....

Me trying not to cry while watching the Special Duggar Delivery Special - it brought back a lot of memories, and some I didn't even know I had.  Needless to say, I did cry.
