So glad February is over!!

Kennedy has been sick all month.  And when I say all month, I really truly mean it. 

Okay, so maybe she wasn't sick for 7-8 days of it?

It started out with croup, then an ear infection.  Then she got better for 2-3 days and spiked a fever which lasted from Thursday night to early Monday morning (I was out of town but thankfully her wonderful daddy was home with her the whole time).  She then broke out in a rash all over her entire body on Monday, and really didn't start to feel like herself until this last Thursday.

I am just so beyond ready for February to be over, for March to be here, and hopefully bring with it spring and no more sickness.  (as I type this I am getting over a cold myself now :( )

So, because of that, we don't have a lot of super happy, non-snotty face pics of Kennedy from this past month.  It breaks my heart, but she was still fairly happy for part of it.

Not only was Kennedy sick for a lot of this month, but Austin and I were also out of town for different events/work things for a lot of the month as well.  So we each had to be a "single parent" while dealing with a sick kiddo to.  

On to a much better month in March! (and hopefully to no sickness). 

15 months!

Holy cow where did the time go?  Our little girl (toddler!) is 15 months old today :)

She had her 15-month well-baby check up on Monday (Happy Valentines day to her, the poor girl got 3 shots :( )

Her stats are as follows:
Weight: 19 lbs 1.5oz (5%)
Height: 29 inches (10-15%)
Head: 45.5 cm (35-40%) - she's got a big noggin!

She is gaining slowly, time to start adding a little extra calories to her meals.  She does eat, and loves her food, so I am not too worried about that, but we just have to make sure she doesn't fall off of her growth chart as she leveled out a little bit this time.

She is doing great developmentally though which is wonderful!  I am so happy that she is doing so well after her rough and early start in life.

Here are a few pics from this morning.  It is SO hard to get her to sit still for pictures anymore that I had to put her on the chair and hope she stayed.  However she wouldn't look at the camera but all her toys behind me.  Oh well.

Catching up (again)

I did it again, failed to blog.  This last month or so has been rather hectic.  Kennedy has been sick twice, Austin had to travel for work, and I've been working, being a mom, and volunteering with YMCA California Youth & Government. 

Here are a few pics and updates to catch you all up, I am hoping to be able to blog more soon.



Kennedy started walking in January! (January 9th was when we officially called her a walker :))

In February Kennedy is off a running it seems!  It took her no time at all to really get her feet under her and get moving.  I still cannot believe we have a toddler.  She also got sick again this month, on top of having four molars cutting through at once.  Poor thing.  She is also clapping, and hi-fiving!
