Memorial Day 2011

We had been trying to get Austin's family out to California for awhile.  Now, mind you, getting a family of 5 to California is no easy or cheap feat, BUT when we got the call that they were indeed coming, and coming in May for Memorial Day weekend we were beyond excited and could not wait!!!

Kennedy was excited to see her cousins and Auntie Jen and Uncle TJ.  The last time she was them was in April 2010, way way too long in my opinion.  We have GOT to make it to New Mexico sometime soon.

We spent Friday just hanging around and playing with the kiddos...

Then went to the city on Saturday.  Headed out to Pier 39, adn drove across the Golden Gate.  Unfortunately it decided to pour down rain as we got to the bridge, so we couldn't get out to walk a little bit with the boys.

Sunday we headed the beach and thankfully it was gorgeous!! We went to Seabright in Aptos (Santa Cruz area).  The boys had a blast, and Kennedy got used to the idea of walking around on sand (she wasn't so sure at first).

We cannot wait for the next visit, but hopefully we'll be out to visit them sooner rather than later.

September...

where have you gone September?  I feel like this month has gone by pretty fast.  Each weekend has been full of activity, which is great and exciting, but sometimes it is nice to just relax at home.

We've had a few birthdays, and our 4th anniversary is coming up.  We have also had family and friend visits, trips to the Zoo and the start the the planning of Kennedy's first birthday party (yes it is early, but with a busy schedule, one has to plan early!)

A visit from friends...

Last week Vimala and Corbin came to visit us again.  I took these cute pics of Vim holding Kennedy and Corbin wanting in on the action.... could be a bit of foreshadowing of what is to come?

I love this face!! He is such a cutie with TONS of energy.  He is also helping me realize what I am going to need to be picking up once Kennedy is on the move.
